FAQ:

Do your Body Butters melt?
Because Body'd Butters are made with Shea Butter which has a melting point of 90° F, they are EXTREMELY susceptible to melting in transit during warm seasons. A melted butter is not a ruined butter! The consistency may have changed but not the quality. The container may appear less full because it has returned to a liquid state after being whipped up. To fix, all you have to do is place the melted butter in the freezer (not refrigerator) until it returns to its firm yet pliable consistency.
I don’t see a preservative in the ingredients list, can it go bad?
Because our formula does not include any water, a preservative is not necessarily needed. Body’d Butters can last up to a year from purchasing. Avoid leaving excess water from your hands in the jar.
Can I use this on my face?
Although this formula is intended to be used on your body, it can be used on your face. All ingredients are non-comedogenic meaning it won't clog your pores. It should be used on your face if you have very dry skin, are using Plain Jane (fragrance-free), and apply only a pea size amount to damp skin.
Why do I have to apply the Body’d Butter to damp skin?
Because Body’d Butters are made with a blend of butter oils they are actually considered “sealants” not “moisturizers”. This means that in order to hydrate your skin, they need to seal water into your skin. If you apply them to dry skin, you are just sealing in dry skin which does more harm than good. Applying to damp skin also allows the ingredients to be absorbed more thoroughly leaving you feeling less greasy.
